Common Ramp Setups and Tips

These are intended as examples and may not be to scale. The setup you need will depend on the clearance of your vehicle and the angle of your driveway. If your vehicle can make it up the driveway at all, you likely only need a few extra inches—typically 2-3.
What’s most important is where your tires are when your car begins to scrape, as that’s where you’ll want to install the ramps. For 3-piece setups, you can use these rubber sections (available in 1″, 2″, and 2.75″ heights) to bridge the gap between two ramps, creating a wider ramp or pad as needed. You can also cut these sections to fit your specific needs.
Need more clearance? Add height to any ramp with this 0.5″ thick rubber mat substrate. Simply cut it to fit the bottom size of your ramp and stack for additional height (up to 1.5″). Secure with construction adhesive for a stable, customized solution.
