🎥 See These Ramps in Action

If your low car scrapes when entering a steep driveway, crossing a curb lip, or driving into a garage, this video shows how these ramps solve the problem.

Steep driveways, raised concrete lips, and abrupt gutter transitions can cause:

  • Front bumper scraping or splitter damage
  • Undercarriage contact
  • Repeated bottoming out

These ramps reduce the approach angle and provide lift under the tires — smoothing the transition and helping prevent costly damage to low-clearance vehicles.

Why Low Cars Scrape on Steep Driveway Entries

Steep driveway aprons often have a sudden lip or low gutter dip at the street. As your front tires roll through this low point, the nose of the car drops — causing the front bumper, splitter, or underside to scrape before the tires can climb.

This is especially common with:

  • Low cars and sedans
  • Sporty front bumpers
  • Long wheelbases
  • Steep neighborhood driveways

The ElevateDrive™ Solution

ElevateDrive™ ramps are placed under the tires, right where scraping begins. By lifting the tires gradually through the low point, the front of the vehicle stays elevated — preventing contact before the driveway climb.

No guessing. No overbuilding. Just targeted lift where it matters.

How to Position the Ramps

  1. Pull forward until your car just starts to scrape
  2. Hop out and note where your front tires are
  3. That exact spot is where the ramps go

Most installs sit in the street gutter area, directly before the driveway lip.

Available Ramp Sizes for This Entry Type

To keep things simple, this page focuses only on the sizes that work best for steep driveway entries with a lip or dip.

Primary Gutter Ramps (Most Common)

These go in the street gutter where the dip or lip is:

  • 40 × 10 × 2″ – 4″H

Most customers start here. In many cases, one pair is all you need. Some customers use one ramp per tire, while others connect multiple ramps side-by-side to span the full driveway entry.

Driveway-Side Ramps (Two-Part Setup)

Used only if scraping continues after crossing the lip — or if additional lift is needed beyond the driveway threshold height.

In some cases, the threshold may be 2″, but your vehicle needs more total lift (for example, 3.5″) to keep the front end elevated long enough to prevent scraping. This can leave a 1–1.5″ gap after the lip.

These driveway-side ramps fill that gap and extend the transition so the vehicle stays lifted as it climbs.

Available sizes:

  • 36 × 8 × 1″
  • 36 × 8 × 1.5″
  • 40 × 12 × 1.5″

Placement:

These sit above the lip on the driveway, facing opposite the gutter ramps.

Ramp Setup & Installation Guide

Which Setup Do I Need?

One-Piece vs Two-Piece Setup

Use ONE pair if:

  • Scraping happens right at the gutter / lip
  • The issue stops once the tires climb

Use a TWO-PART setup if:

  • Scraping continues after rolling over the lip
  • The driveway remains steep immediately beyond the threshold

Example:

  • 40×10×3″ in the gutter
  • 36×8×1.5″ on the driveway side

This creates a longer, smoother transition and prevents secondary contact.

Installation Options

Installation Options

ElevateDrive™ ramps can be installed using:

  • Included concrete anchors, or
  • Polyurethane construction adhesive (no drilling required)

Adhesive installs are popular for homeowners who want a secure hold without permanent modification.

Stop Scraping Your Driveway Entry

Choose your ramp height based on the severity of your lip or dip.

If you’re unsure, start with a 40×10 ramp — it solves the majority of cases.
